About the RoleSpire Technology Group is looking for a motivated Software Developer to join our development team, working across a range of software projects built with .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Blazor, Bootstrap and React.
Key Responsibilities• Collaborate with the development team to design, build and release software across our range of projects.
• Develop and maintain web application interfaces using Blazor, React and Bootstrap.
• Build and maintain back end services and RESTful APIs using .NET, C# and Entity Framework.
• Design, develop and maintain database schemas across Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Implement secure communication between application clients and servers, including Azure app registrations and OAuth based authentication.
• Work with end users, developers and engineers to identify and define application requirements.
• Test software and contribute to the development of automated tests.
• Investigate software defects and develop effective solutions.
• Report on development progress, risks and technical issues.
• Carry out quality assurance to ensure the software meets agreed standards.
• Create and maintain product and technical documentation.
• Share knowledge and promote good development practices across the team.
• Roll out fixes and upgrades to the software as needed.
• Help secure the software against vulnerabilities and security breaches.
• Review feedback from users to help improve the experience of the application.
• Suggest improvements to workflow and process where you see opportunities.
Required Skills and Experience• Experience developing applications using C# and .NET (.NET Core, .NET 6 or later), including ASP.NET MVC.
• Experience with Entity Framework, or another .NET ORM, for data access.
• Experience with Blazor (Server or WebAssembly), or strong experience with another component based web framework and a willingness to pick up Blazor quickly.
• Experience with React and Bootstrap for building responsive web interfaces.
• Ability to build and consume RESTful APIs, including an understanding of their security requirements.
• Experience designing and working with relational database schemas in Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, including setting up app registrations and OAuth2/OpenID Connect based authentication for web applications and APIs.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Git source control and collaborative development workflows.
• A strong aptitude for learning new technologies and working outside your existing areas of experience.
• Good independent problem solving skills.
• Ability to use initiative and take ownership of assigned work.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills and ExperienceExperience in any of the following areas would be beneficial:
• MySQL or other relational databases in addition to SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Other front end frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js.
• Other Azure services (App Service, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and similar) or experience with AWS.
• Containerisation technologies such as Docker.
• Automated testing and continuous integration or delivery.
• Internet of Things systems and applications.
