Junior–Mid-Level Software / Data Engineer

Are you a Junior to Mid-level Software Engineer or Data Engineer who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies and getting your hands dirty with data? We're working with an innovative technology company that is growing its international technology team and is looking for a Junior–Mid-level Software / Data Engineer to join them. This is a great opportunity if you have a solid foundation in Python, SQL and cloud technologies, but don't necessarily have every technology on your CV yet. Why this role? If you're the type of engineer who enjoys being given a problem and given the opportunity to solve it then this could be a very good match What you'll be doing Develop and improve Python-based services and applicationsWork with SQL, databases and large datasetsBuild, maintain and optimise data pipelines and processing solutionsWork with Azure and cloud-based technologiesContribute to AI and automation initiativesImprove the performance, reliability and scalability of existing solutionsWork with engineers and domain experts to turn complex data into practical productsTake ownership of technical problems and research solutions independentlyGet exposure to technologies and projects outside your existing area of expertise What we're looking for Solid Python software development skillsGood SQL and database fundamentalsAn understanding of data structures and data modellingSome experience with Azure or another cloud platformA good grounding in software or data engineeringStrong problem-solving skillsA proactive, curious and self-sufficient approachThe ability to research, learn and work things out independentlyGood communication skills and confidence working in an English-speaking environmentA relevant technical degree or equivalent commercial experience It would be a bonus if you have experience with: Azure Functions / serverlessData pipelinesKQL / Azure Data ExplorerIoT or telemetry dataDigital twinsAI / automationComplex operational or physical datasets You don't need to know everything.
