What is The Role: The Security EDR Workflows team is in charge of building core capabilities that power Elastic Defend management experience. Our focus is on delivering policy configuration and management capabilities, Elastic Defend and third party providers response actions as forensics capabilities through OSquery. The team is leading XDR key expansion to our SIEM foundations and enhancing user experience in onboarding and managing our security product. As a Software Engineer on the Security EDR Workflows team, you will help build workflows and user-facing capabilities that get to our Elastic Defend agent to protect and respond against security threats. You’ll collaborate closely with other security engineering teams, as well as with product and design, to deliver robust, high-scale features used by security practitioners around the world. You’ll be using AI to quickly understand and solve problems. What You Will Be Doing: You’ll implement features that power Elastic Defend user interface capabilities.You’ll contribute to the architecture of Elastic Defend management and response actions framework along with OSquery forensics capabilities.You’ll develop scalable, high performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.Write production-grade code in Typescript/Node JS (and potentially other languages) as part of high-quality, well-tested codebase.You’ll collaborate with other Elastic engineering teams when working on cross-team efforts.You’ll be helping on engineering standards, tooling and team processes improvements driven by AI usage.You’ll participate in code reviews.You’ll work with a globally distributed team of skilled engineers focused on delivering Elastic Defend and OSquery capabilities from Kibana point of view.You’ll collaborate with team members on large product features.You’ll be using AI to supercharge development work. What You Bring: You have a basic knowledge of Node JS and React JS skills. Typescript is a plus.You take advantage of AI for better comprehension of complex problems and quickly ramping up into solutions.You have an AI powered development mindset.You are curious and want to engage in team meetings.Comfortable developing collaboratively. Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. At Elastic, our compensation philosophy aims to provide fair, competitive and transparent remuneration. Salary ranges are established based on a combination of external market benchmarks, internal pay equity considerations, and the responsibilities and complexity associated with each role. This approach helps ensure consistency across comparable roles while remaining competitive within the relevant labour markets. The final compensation offered within the applicable range will be determined based on several objective factors, including relevant professional experience, level of skills and expertise, alignment with the role requirements, and the overall scope and complexity of the position. The typical starting salary range for this role is: 256 500 zł—405 700 zł PLN
