This engagement delivers a business-critical automation project for one of the client's internal operational teams. The Tech Lead will lead a small delivery team to design, build, and hand off a serverless AWS pipeline that replaces a significant monthly manual effort — dramatically reducing cycle time and delivering measurable annual operational savings. Requirements Must Have Technical leadership — 3+ years leading a software delivery teamPython — production-level data pipelines and ETL systemsAWS Cloud Native — hands-on experience with AWS Step Functions, S3, Lambda and Aurora Serverless (PostgreSQL)Database schema design and data modelingAI-Accelerated Development — proficiency using AI tools (we use Claude Code) to accelerate delivery while maintaining full accountability for code correctness Expected 10+ years of professional experience in software engineeringIntegration experience — Salesforce API and Google Ad Manager API Good to have PDF generation experience: ReportLab, WeasyPrint, or equivalent Python librariesLegacy migration — ability to navigate and migrate calculation logic from legacy systems (e.g. Microsoft Access) into modern cloud-native environmentsAWS Certifications Responsibilities Own the technical design and ensure the whole team understands the plan and adheres to itOwn the technical direction of the team, supported by a Solution Architect to ensure alignment with the client's visionLead hands-on implementation of the agreed solutionBreak down the architecture into clear, small, and testable tasks for the teamServe as the primary technical point of contact for the client throughout the engagementMentor engineers on the team and promote collective code ownership and quality standardsFacilitate open design discussions with both the team and the client's technical stakeholdersEnsure the quality of all deliverables throughout the engagementIdentify and manage delivery risks proactivelyDeliver complete documentation and deployment guide before project close What’s in it for you Work your way — anywhere, anytime.
