Job Title: Backend Microservices Engineer Job Location: Mississauga, ON (3 days per week onsite) Job Duration: Full Time Our challenge We are seeking a hands-on Backend / Microservices Engineer will build the services layer connecting blockchain or payment platforms with core enterprise systems. This role focuses on developing APIs and microservices for transaction orchestration, reconciliation, and event processing. The engineer will ensure the platform is scalable, resilient, and cloud-native. Responsibilities Design and implement APIs connecting on-chain and off-chain systems.Develop and maintain scalable microservices.Build services for transaction orchestration and workflow management.Implement reconciliation services to ensure transaction accuracy.Develop event-processing pipelines using event-driven architectures.Integrate blockchain, payment, and enterprise systems.Ensure service reliability, resilience, performance, and scalability. Qualifications 7+ years of backend software development experience.Proficiency in Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.Experience designing and developing APIs.Strong understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka or Google Pub/Sub.Experience developing cloud-native applications.Experience with Google Cloud Platform, preferably. Nice to Have Experience developing Web3 or blockchain applications.Familiarity with on-chain and off-chain transaction flows.Experience integrating payment platforms with enterprise systems.
