We are looking for a IT-System Administrator Web Hosting (Linux) (m/f/x) for our Eschborn location as soon as possible.
Tasks
As an experienced system administrator in the modern and exciting environment at Samsung SDS Europe Ltd German Branch, in addition to the diverse daily tasks to ensure the smooth operation of customer systems, you will also be responsible for providing advice and assessing interesting projects.
Communication within the team and with international customers is just as much a part of your activities as reporting to the relevant managers.

Maintaining the system and updating the services is just as much a part of your tasks as the maintenance of the databases and the expansion and conversion of the system landscape.
Your Area of Responsibility:
Administration of Linux and MS Windows based servers & services
Installation and setup of web applications and database servers based on customer requirements
Setting up customer applications based on customer guidelines
Experience with web stack technologies (HTTP, web servers, reverse proxy, loadbalacing)
Strong understanding of OS-level security (Linux/Windows)
Setup and administration of Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases
Build, Manage, and optimize containerized environment using Docker
Automate configuration management, deployment, and orchestration using Ansible
Control, analysis and reporting of the performance and volume of the server infrastructure
Ensuring the integrity and security of systems and applications through the strict technical implementation of internal security guidelines
Regular reporting according to the respective escalation level based on the problem management metric
Requirements
Your Profile:
Successfully completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience as a system administrator (between 2~3 year experience)
Ability to work in an international, multicultural company
Very good knowledge of at least one of the following operating systems: RHEL, MS Windows Server, Docker and Ansible
Sound administration knowledge in MSSQL or MySQL or Oracle DB
Good knowledge of VMware vSphere and shared storage
Knowledge of DNS, LDAP, AD and Remote Services and SSH
Experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, MS Azure or Google Cloud or OCI -
Programming or scripting knowledge
Efficient troubleshooting skills
Understanding of networks (e.g.
TCP and firewall)
Willingness to travel to support additional locations
Good language skills in English (spoken and written), German desirable and proficiency in Korean language (preferred)
Ability to work in a team and structured work complete your profile
Administer and maintain Linux-based systems, including Red Hat and Ubuntu distributions, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Monitor system health, performance, and uptime to ensure continuous operation of mission-critical applications.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux server environments and software applications.
Implement security measures to safeguard Linux systems from unauthorized access, including patch management, firewalls, and vulnerability assessments.
Provide ongoing support for the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of systems and software.
Automate system administration tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or other relevant tools.
Conduct backups, disaster recovery processes, and system restores.
Work closely with development teams to support deployments and system integrations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network, storage, hardware, and software performance.
Ensure system configurations are compliant with industry best practices and organizational standards.
Manage virtualization platforms and container technologies (such as VMware, KVM, Docker).
Maintain and manage access control policies, user accounts, and group permissions.
Document procedures, configurations, and issue resolutions to build and maintain an internal knowledge base.
