Senior PHP Backend Developer

About This Role We are currently seeking a Senior PHP Back-end engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team. This role will have a strong presence within the team, acting as a technical reference in day-to-day operations, and will have a significant impact on the development process. The candidate should possess a diverse set of skills, ranging from proficiency in PHP, either plain or though frameworks, to hands-on experience with non-relational databases (especially MongoDB), object-oriented programming (OOP), Git version control, and solid experience working within cloud environments, particularly AWS. Knowledge of security principles and best practices will be highly valued. YOUR MISSION Collaborate with both the project-dedicated team and the broader technology teamSupport and guide other team members in achieving their goals throughout the projectMaintain and optimize the technological stack, ensuring high standards of performance, security, and reliability, in collaboration with a systems engineerApply object-oriented programming principles to improve code quality and maintainabilityWork across multiple applications and microservices within the platformParticipate in the implementation and maintenance of authentication and authorization mechanisms used across the systemUtilize Git and Notion to collaborate effectively within a team environment What You Will Bring Along To Be Successful 5+ years of experience as a PHP DeveloperStrong proficiency in PHP, both native and using frameworksExperience with relational and non-relational databases (especially MongoDB)Solid understanding and application of object-oriented programming (OOP)Proficiency with Git-based workflowsFamiliarity with cloud computing, especially on the AWS platformExperience with authentication and authorization systems in distributed applicationsExperience with AWS Cognito or similar identity providers will be highly valuedFamiliarity with secure development practicesKnowledge of server management and system architectureProactive mindset, able to find solutions independently and work autonomouslyOrganized, pragmatic, and open-minded when approaching technical challenges Highly Valued Experience working under ISO-aligned environments (e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 27701) and/or the Spanish ENSFamiliarity with security controls, audits, and compliance processes in regulated environmentsPrevious experience working within the French healthcare ecosystemFamiliarity with French regulations regarding health data protection and security (e.g. HDS, CNIL-related expectations)
