We are looking for a Mid Java Developer to join our hybrid team in Sofia.
This role involves designing and implementing backend systems for real-world applications in infrastructure, digital services, and integration projects.

What You’ll Do:
Design and implement backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and QuarkusBuild and integrate distributed microservices via REST, SOAP, and WebSocketsWrite clean, testable, and maintainable codeParticipate in system architecture, interface design, and code reviewsCollaborate closely with clients and colleagues to ensure successful project deliveryFollow and improve internal engineering standards and documentationSupport knowledge sharing and mentor less experienced team members when needed
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of professional experience with Java backend developmentSolid knowledge of Spring and optionally QuarkusHands-on experience with REST and at least basic exposure to SOAPConfident in designing APIs and defining clear service boundariesComfortable working with external APIs, authentication systems, or legacy componentsExperience with security concepts or working alongside security expertsFamiliar with CI/CD, Git, and containerized deploymentsStrong communication skills, problem-solving mindset, and proactive attitudeBased in Sofia and open to hybrid workFluent English (spoken and written)
