JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Lead Middleware Platform Architect to lead the design, implementation, automation, and operationalization of a next-generation data and RDF platform for a global financial institution.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience building and managing enterprise platforms, driving production readiness, implementing infrastructure automation, and supporting highly regulated environments.
This role will play a critical part in designing and deploying middleware capabilities, enabling observability, resiliency, security, and platform scalability across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead platform architecture and implementation activities for RDF and middleware platforms.
• Design and implement automation for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and support.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and development teams to onboard platforms.
• Drive observability, logging, monitoring, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Develop production runbooks, disaster recovery procedures, and support models.
• Support production readiness reviews and go-live activities.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors on configuration and optimization activities.
• Mentor engineering teams on platform best practices.
Required Skills
• 10+ years of platform engineering, middleware engineering or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong Linux administration experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift or similar container platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Strong scripting skills using Python, Shell, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
• Strong understanding of security and resiliency principles.
Preferred Skills
• RDF Triple Store experience.
• Graph database technologies.
• Financial Services or Banking domain experience.
• Cloud platform exposure.
