We are looking for a hands-on Full-Stack Engineer to join a long-term transformation programme within a global financial-services environment.
About the Role
You will help modernise a critical accounting and data-processing platform, building scalable, resilient services supporting high-volume workflows, real-time and batch data ingestion, and enterprise integrations.
This is a senior engineering role with genuine end-to-end ownership, from technical design and development through deployment, production support, and optimisation.
Responsibilities
Build and modernise API-driven services, primarily in Java.Develop scalable solutions for real-time and batch data processing.Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and enterprise data platforms.Support the evolution of legacy capabilities into cloud-ready, API-first services.Design, test, deploy and operate production-grade applications in a cloud/hybrid environment.Improve observability, monitoring, resiliency, auditability and data quality.Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing and DevOps best practices.Lead technical discussions, code reviews and production-readiness activities.Collaborate with product, architecture, operations and globally distributed engineering teams.Mentor engineers and contribute to strong engineering standards.
Qualifications
7+ years of commercial software-engineering experience.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on Java and backend/API development experience.Experience with distributed systems, microservices and production support.Good knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.Cloud or hybrid-hosting experience, Azure is strongly preferred.CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing and modern engineering-toolchain experience.Ability to communicate architecture decisions, technical trade-offs and risks clearly.Experience working with international/distributed teams.
