Senior Mechanical Designer Location: Eindhoven, The Netherlands Hours: Full-time (40 hours) Delve Search have partnered with an innovative high-tech equipment manufacturer in Eindhoven to recruit a Senior Mechanical Designer. The opportunity Our client develops advanced nanoimprint lithography technology for high-volume manufacturing applications across industries including semiconductors, photonics, AR/VR, biosensors and microLEDs. As the business continues to scale, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer to take ownership of complex mechanical systems and contribute to both existing products and future technology development. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary engineering team, combining hands-on mechanical design with technical ownership, design reviews and support for less experienced engineers. Your responsibilities Design, realise and test complex mechanical systems, assemblies and precision modules.Develop new product platforms and improve existing equipment.Perform tolerance analysis, GD&T and precision engineering studies.Apply DFM, DFA and FMEA throughout the development process.Lead and participate in design reviews and technical decision-making.Support system qualification, industrialisation, ramp-up and manufacturing readiness.Investigate technical issues using structured root-cause methodologies.Work closely with systems, software, applications, manufacturing and other engineering disciplines.Support and mentor less experienced engineers.Provide technical support to customers and suppliers when required.Occasional international travel to customer and manufacturing sites. Your background Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years or Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.Strong experience designing complex mechanical systems, precision machinery or advanced technology equipment.Strong knowledge of precision mechanics, tolerances, GD&T, material selection and manufacturability.Advanced 3D CAD capability, preferably NX and Teamcenter.Experience with DFM, DFA and FMEA.Familiarity with 8D, DOE and structured engineering problem-solving.Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering environments.Experience mentoring or guiding less experienced engineers.Strong English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.Experience with semiconductor equipment, lithography, photonics, scientific instrumentation, cleanroom systems, thermal/mechanical simulation or other precision manufacturing technologies would be advantageous.
