The successful candidate will work across both front-end and back-end technologies, collaborating with Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, Product Managers, Cloud Architects, and QA professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, REST APIs, SQL, Entity Framework/ORM tools, Azure, and modern CI/CD practices, along with a solid understanding of accessibility standards including WCAG and AODA. Key Responsibilities Full Stack Application DevelopmentDesign, develop, test, debug, and maintain enterprise-level web applications.Develop responsive and scalable front-end applications using React and Next.js.Develop back-end services and APIs using Node.js and related technologies.Build and consume REST APIs and integrate front-end user interfaces with APIs.Apply JavaScript and TypeScript to develop robust, maintainable applications.Utilize Entity Framework or other Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) data-access technologies.Design and manage relational databases and perform SQL-based data retrieval and validation.Ensure applications are designed and built for speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Solution Architecture & Technical DesignContribute to the design and implementation of overall solution architecture.Develop application designs and technical specification documents based on business requirements, user stories, UI/UX artifacts, security requirements, data models, and solution architecture.Create object-oriented models in UML using tools such as PowerDesigner.Design and construct REST API services and web services.Develop cloud-native and PaaS-based applications using modern architectural patterns.Support Microservices, API-based, Responsive Web Design, and Serverless architectures where applicable. Azure & Cloud DevelopmentDevelop and support applications hosted in Microsoft Azure and other cloud environments.Work with Azure PaaS and SQL services.Support cloud-native application development and deployment.Contribute to cloud-based architecture, database, application, and service design.Support deployment and operational activities across cloud-hosted environments. Quality Assurance & TestingDesign and execute unit tests and support automated testing activities.Support functional, regression, integration, system, migration, load, security, vulnerability, penetration, and AODA testing.Work with QA teams to identify, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.Develop and maintain automated test support using tools such as NUnit, XUnit, MSTest, Karma, Jasmine, or equivalent.Support regression testing using manual and automated approaches.Work with web-based QA automation tools such as Playwright.Ensure applications comply with WCAG and AODA accessibility requirements. Agile Delivery & CollaborationParticipate actively in Scrum/Agile development teams.Collaborate with Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, Product Managers, Cloud Architects, Developers, Testers, and other IT professionals.Participate in task planning, daily stand-ups, iteration demonstrations, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.Provide input into development estimates, technical designs, implementation approaches, and delivery planning.Work within concurrent development environments using Git-based source control, feature branches, and DevOps CI/CD pipelines. DevOps & CI/CDSupport the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Work with Git, Azure DevOps, VSTS/TFS, and related development tools.Support automated build, testing, deployment, and release processes.Contribute to DevOps practices across application development and delivery. Enterprise Application SupportProvide critical application support for complex production applications.Investigate incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement interim and long-term fixes.Perform application maintenance, enhancements, and incremental changes.Prepare Method of Procedure (MOP) and implementation-package documentation for production releases.Prepare operational procedure documentation for production support teams.Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting. Documentation & Knowledge TransferPrepare system, application, technical, and operational documentation as required.Coordinate system development activities and provide technical consultation to team members.Provide knowledge transfer to Ministry staff throughout all stages of the assignment.Support production releases, implementation activities, and post-production operations. Required Skills & Experience Microsoft/Azure Development & Quality Assurance – 65% Strong full-stack software development experience at the senior level.Hands-on experience with React and Next.js.Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.Experience with Node.js.Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM/data-access technologies.Strong SQL and relational database experience.Experience developing responsive web front ends, Web APIs, and web services.Knowledge of Azure SQL and Azure cloud development.Experience with Azure PaaS and SQL services or equivalent cloud hosting technologies.Experience with unit testing and test automation.Experience with Microservices and container-based application development.Experience with JSON and REST-based services.Knowledge of Spring Boot/Spring Framework is an asset.Experience with Git and Azure DevOps/VSTS/TFS.Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.Experience with regression testing, including manual and automated approaches.Familiarity with Playwright or comparable web-based QA automation tools.Knowledge and understanding of WCAG for accessible web application development.Knowledge and understanding of AODA and related regulations and standards.
