🚀 Hiring: Senior Software Engineer – Technical Documentation & Map Data Systems 📍 Remote – Poland 💼 Contract | Technology – Software Engineer III We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong technical writing and communication skills to join a team working on digital map and navigation data systems. This is not a traditional Technical Writer role. We’re looking for someone who can understand complex software architecture, data models, APIs, schemas and publishing pipelines — and then translate that technical knowledge into clear, structured documentation that engineers, architects, product teams and AI systems can rely on. 🔹 What you’ll be doing Work closely with engineers, architects and technical leaders to understand how map data is published through NDS.Live.Understand and document data models, APIs, schemas, data flows, semantics and publishing pipelines.Identify the right subject-matter experts and extract technical knowledge through effective questioning and collaboration.Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, accurate and reusable technical documentation.Review architecture documents, specifications, implementation notes and technical materials.Identify gaps, ambiguities and inconsistencies in existing technical documentation.Create structured documentation suitable for both human readers and AI/LLM-based search and retrieval.Establish documentation standards and information architecture that can scale as systems evolve.Work with engineering and product stakeholders to validate technical accuracy.🔹 What we’re looking for Senior-level experience in Software Engineering, Software Architecture, Technical Architecture, Data Engineering or Data Architecture.Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, data models, schemas, data flows and semantics.Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.Comfortable working directly with engineers and architects and asking detailed technical questions.Ability to understand complex technical specifications, architecture documents and, where relevant, code.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and spoken English.Ability to work independently within a large and complex engineering organisation.⭐ Nice to have Experience with NDS.Live, digital maps or navigation data.Automotive, autonomous driving or geospatial/GIS experience.Experience with docs-as-code, Git, Markdown or static-site generators.Experience documenting systems for AI/LLM, RAG, copilots or knowledge platforms.Experience with large-scale data platforms, cloud environments or data publishing pipelines. #Hiring #SoftwareEngineer #SeniorSoftwareEngineer #PolandJobs #RemoteJobs #TechJobs #SoftwareArchitecture #DataEngineering #TechnicalWriting #Automotive #Geospatial #GIS #AI #LLM #RAG #NDSLive #DigitalMaps
