What you will be doing:
Design and develop robust backend services and APIs using Python and Django.Take ownership of key backend features, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable.Work extensively with PostgreSQL and other relational databases, including schema design and query optimization.Integrate backend applications with cloud-based data warehouses and analytical platforms.Contribute to data pipelines and architecture to ensure seamless interaction between application and data systems.Work closely with frontend engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and the continuous improvement of engineering practices.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications running in Linux-based environments.Leverage modern AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery.
Requirements:
3+ years of professional software engineering experience.Strong proficiency in Python, with experience using Django or a comparable framework.Strong knowledge of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.Good understanding of API development, distributed systems, and asynchronous programming.Comfortable working within Linux/Unix environments and using command-line tools.Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, and production development.Ability to work independently and take ownership in a remote-first environment.
