Overview:
The Senior Full Stack Developers are integral to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality digital solutions that support Whole-of-Government service obligations.
Successful candidates will operate within an agile delivery team, contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS) application.
They will provide technical expertise while working collaboratively with product manager, scrum master, testers and other developers to deliver functional, user-centric products through iterative and incremental development cycles.
These roles are responsible for translating technical requirements into working solutions, ensuring the PDMS product is robust, scalable, and aligned with agile principles.

The Senior Full Stack Developer will work across the entire technology stack, contributing to both front-end and back-end development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Full Stack developers will:
Provide technical advice on proposed solutions and implementation approaches.Develop secure, fit-for-purpose code in accordance with established coding standards and practices.Participate in peer code reviews and incorporate constructive feedback to ensure high-quality outcomes.Implement new functionality within a multi-tier enterprise environment, including front-end development, server-side logic, and database design.Investigate and resolve issues identified in developed solutions.Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and implement technical solutions.Advise on emerging technologies and their potential integration into existing or future solutions.Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders as required.Deploy solutions across multiple environments during go-live windows.Work closely with the Lead Developer to support efficient team operations.Lead the transformation of SharePoint integration services, replacing legacy .NET DLL and CSOM dependencies with API-driven solutions.Collaborate with the PDMS team to deliver a cloud-ready solution that supports migration to SharePoint Embedded.Implement secure authentication and authorisation patterns for SharePoint API access, aligned with organisational identity standards and least-privilege principles.Collaborate closely with PDMS development team to align SharePoint API integration with broader re-platforming and authentication de-coupling and modernisation objectives.Produce technical documentation and handover artefacts, including API usage patterns, permission models, architectural decisions, and support considerations for ongoing maintenance.Contribute to team workload planning and prioritisation.Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Collaborate within cross-functional teams operating in an agile delivery environment.Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge transfer to APS staff and other project resources.Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical and security documentation.Work collaboratively with architects, developers and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and delivery risks.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
Highly Desirable Experience:
5+ years’ experience in full stack development with demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of complex cloud transformation initiatives.Strong understanding of Australian Government security, risk and assurance frameworks (e.g.
ISM, PSPF) Experience mentoring or leading junior technical staff is highly valuedExperience in delivering similar cloud solutions in complex, Whole-of-Government (WofG) applications within secure and regulated environmentsKnowledge/experience of Windows Server and Azure PlatformsExceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
