Senior Delivery Consultant - Agentic Software Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Delivery Consultant with software engineering and cloud architecture expertise to deliver consulting engagements within AWS Professional Services. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that helps customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. Key job responsibilities Solution Delivery: Work directly with customers to understand requirements, architect solutions, and deliver working software. Build distributed systems, modernise legacy applications, and implement best practices across cloud environments. Software Development: Design, build/modernise, and ship scalable cloud-native applications end-to-end (e.g., Python, TypeScript, .NET, PostgreSQL), deploying on AWS with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines. Agentic Engineering: Champion AI-Driven software development methodologies. Build multi-agent systems to accelerate design, coding, testing, review, and deployment without compromising quality. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of customer-facing consulting experience leading, designing and implementing software solutions with strong foundations in system design Experience with application modernisation patterns and strategies, including refactoring and re-platforming techniques Experience with one or more modern relational or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, DynamoDB), including data modelling and query optimisation Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices patterns at scale Experience with AWS technologies, including designing, deploying, and operating cloud-native solutions Preferred Qualifications Strong background in API design and implementation (e.g. REST, GraphQL, gRPC), including working with identity protocols such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0 Knowledge of vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, embedding pipelines Understanding of AI agent architectures, development patterns, protocols (e.g. MCP, A2A) and multi-agent systems Strong proficiency in DevOps and observability tools (e.g. GitLab CI, OpenTelemetry, Grafana) with focus on operational excellence Experience with one or more modern front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, Angular), including component-based architecture and state management Acknowledgement Of Country In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
