Technical Product Owner – Manchester Location: Manchester (Hybrid) Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Benefits About Our Client Our client is an established SaaS organisation modernising a suite of business-critical software products. Continued investment in its platform has created an opportunity for an experienced Technical Product Owner to join a growing product and engineering function. The Role You will sit at the intersection of Product and Engineering, helping translate business and customer requirements into well-defined technical deliverables. You will own and prioritise the engineering backlog, support technical discovery and ensure development teams have the clarity required to deliver effectively. Key Responsibilities Own and prioritise the product and technical backlog.Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.Work closely with Software Engineers, Architects and QA teams.Support sprint planning, refinement, reviews and release planning.Balance new functionality with technical debt and platform improvements.Coordinate dependencies across engineering teams and systems.Engage stakeholders to clarify requirements and manage expectations.Use product and delivery data to improve prioritisation and outcomes. Skills & Experience Previous Product Owner, Technical Product Owner or technical product experience.Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile delivery.Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and technical requirements.Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or comparable delivery tools.Understanding of APIs, integrations, cloud platforms or software architecture is advantageous.Strong organisation, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
