About The Role As a Staff Frontend Engineer at Luxury Presence, you will serve as a key technical authority within our development team, primarily focusing on our React-based micro-frontend platform that supports thousands of real estate businesses. Your role involves owning the evolution of our design system, spearheading migration efforts from legacy UI libraries to a modern Tailwind CSS-based component library, and establishing frontend standards that are shared across AI-driven and human engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, AI specialists, and other engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance, and accessible frontend solutions. Your expertise will influence the architectural direction of our platform, ensuring it remains robust, maintainable, and aligned with our long-term business goals. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and help elevate the overall engineering standards across the organization. Qualifications 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant roles in frontend development.Deep expertise in React 18/19, TypeScript, and modern component architecture patterns.Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale design systems, component libraries, and Figma-to-code workflows.Strong command of Tailwind CSS, utility-first styling, and CSS custom properties for theming.Hands-on experience with GraphQL, Apollo Client, federation, code generation, and cache management.Track record of leading large-scale frontend migrations from legacy UI systems to modern frameworks.Experience working with micro-frontend architectures such as single-spa and module federation.Proficiency with monorepo tooling like Turborepo and pnpm workspaces.Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization techniques including code splitting, tree-shaking, and bundle analysis.Knowledge of accessible component development following WCAG standards and semantic HTML practices.Experience with modern frontend testing tools such as Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library, and Storybook. Responsibilities Own the architecture of the frontend platform, making critical decisions on module federation, code splitting, and scalability strategies.Drive the development and enhancement of our design system, including Radix UI, Tailwind CSS, and component libraries, ensuring accessibility and reusability across web and native platforms.Lead the migration from legacy UI libraries like Material-UI and styled-components to a modern, Tailwind-based design system, ensuring minimal disruption to users.Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to deliver intelligent, AI-native frontend features such as site builders, interactive property searches, and geospatial tools.Define and enforce frontend engineering standards, including Storybook-driven development, testing patterns, linting rules, and performance budgets.Mentor and coach engineers across teams, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.Work with cross-functional teams to ensure frontend solutions align with business objectives and customer needs.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve platform capabilities and developer workflows.
