✨ AI‑Generated
A fast-growing international commerce business is looking for a Software Engineer to build AI agents and internal systems that automate and improve day-to-day operations. You will scope problems with the team, design solutions, develop full-stack systems, integrate LLM technologies, and ship production-ready tools end to end. Ideal candidates enjoy practical AI engineering, rapid iteration, and seeing their work deployed in real business workflows.
Highlights
Hands-on opportunity to design, build, and deploy AI agents and internal tools that have direct operational impact. The role offers end-to-end ownership, close collaboration with a fast-moving team, production deployment, and exposure to modern LLM technologies.
Description
ABOUT US @ WAKE IN CLOUD
Wake In Cloud is a fast-growing cross-border e-commerce brand selling premium home textiles (comforters, duvet covers, quilts, and sheets) to customers across the US, Canada, and Australia via Amazon.
As we scale, we're investing heavily in AI to make our team faster and smarter across customer service, supplier management, and content.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will design, build, and deploy AI agents and internal systems that directly improve how the business runs, working with LLM technologies such as Claude.
You will work directly with the team to scope problems and ship working tools, end to end.
If you are passionate about AI agent development, full-stack engineering, and working in a fast-moving environment where your work ships into production, we would love to hear from you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, build, and deploy AI agents and internal tools that automate business workflows
• Develop, test, and maintain software applications, ensuring high performance and reliability
• Collaborate with the team to define and scope new features
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best coding practices
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues as they arise
• Stay up to date with emerging AI/LLM tooling and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure software security, data protection, and compliance with company standards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills:
• Experience: 1+ year of working experience as a software engineer/developer
• AI Agent Development: Hands-on experience building AI agents or LLM-powered applications — you've integrated an LLM API (Claude, OpenAI, etc.) into a real product, not just used ChatGPT as an end user
• Full-Stack: Front-end in JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Next.js or similar), back-end in Node.js and/or Python, and comfortable working with databases
• Fundamentals First: Solid programming fundamentals and clean, maintainable code
• System Design: Able to make sensible architecture and technical decisions for a small-to-medium system on your own
• Proof of Work: A portfolio, GitHub, or work sample that demonstrates an AI agent or automation tool you've actually built and shipped
Soft Skills:
• Comfortable working independently in a small, fast-moving team where priorities can shift
• Strong communication skills — able to translate business problems into technical solutions directly with the team
• Self-motivated and eager to learn new AI tooling and techniques
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience taking a product from 0 to 1 (built and shipped something from scratch, not just contributed to an existing codebase)
• Experience with agent frameworks/tooling (LangChain, MCP, Claude Agent SDK, or similar)
• Experience with RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) or vector databases
• Background in e-commerce, cross-border trade, or startup environments
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
HOW TO APPLY
Send us your resume, along with a link to a project, GitHub repo, or product you've built involving AI agents/LLM integration.
Please include a brief description of that project — what it does, your role in building it, and the tech stack used.
