Description

WEROCK Technologies is a German B2B manufacturer of rugged computer solutions. Our portfolio includes rugged notebooks, industrial tablets, panel PCs, mobile data-capture devices, barcode scanners and other rugged IT and AIDC solutions used in industry, logistics, public administration, utilities, field service and emergency services. We are building a Taiwan team for international work in close collaboration with Germany. About the Position This is a hands-on full-stack development role with long-term technical ownership of WEROCK’s WordPress platform and related business-system integrations. The work combines frontend implementation with backend, plugin and integration development. Your first objective is to complete the German and English website and bring it into reliable production operation. WordPress is set up, content is partly migrated, initial layouts are available, and Kadence, Gutenberg and custom plugins are in place. FluentCart is the selected commerce platform for the new website. The initial launch includes completion of the website, required FluentCart extensions and a protected partner portal with registration, approval and role-based access. You will be the responsible person to maintain and develop our website, reporting to the Marketing Manager in Taiwan and working directly with the team in Germany. Marketing defines priorities, content, copy and technical SEO requirements, while the Graphic & Multimedia Designer provides layouts and visual assets. You translate these inputs into reliable, reusable technical solutions, coordinate important architecture decisions with the team and own the implementation. Tasks Complete and maintain our new multilingual website Implement and develop layouts into reusable Gutenberg and Kadence components. Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins using PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Extend FluentCart where required for WEROCK’s product, configuration, inquiry and B2B processes. Build and maintain a protected partner portal with registration, approval and role-based permission logic. Develop REST-API integrations including ERPNext/Frappe and Mautic. Establish appropriate automated tests and a practical CI/CD workflow for custom code and production deployments. Improve performance, security, technical SEO, general accessibility, usability and maintainability. Diagnose problems through browser consoles and PHP, WordPress and server logs; test across browsers and devices. Use Git and GitHub; document code, deployments, integrations and key procedures. Ensure routine WordPress updates. WEROCK actively uses AI-assisted development tools. You may use AI extensively, but you must understand, test and debug everything you deliver and take full responsibility for the result. Requirements Practical experience developing and maintaining professional WordPress websites, supported by relevant project examples. Strong HTML and CSS skills, practical JavaScript knowledge and PHP skills sufficient to develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins independently. A solid understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, hooks, filters, templates, content structures, user roles and responsive development. Ability to understand existing and AI-generated code, identify root causes systematically and improve an existing codebase. Basic MySQL or MariaDB knowledge and practical experience with REST APIs, webhooks and system integrations. Practical Git experience and a sound understanding of collaborative development, testing and deployment workflows. A structured, accurate and self-directed working style, with sound technical judgement and willingness to take long-term ownership. Good written and spoken English for technical meetings and documentation; project briefings are provided in English. Current residence in Taiwan, a valid work permit for Taiwan and ability to work regularly from our office in Sanchong/New Taipei City. Formal university qualifications and a specific minimum number of professional years are less important than practical WordPress ability, technical judgement and reliable execution. Nice to Have Experience with one or more of the following is useful: Kadence, Gutenberg, FluentCart, Polylang, ERPNext, Frappe Framework, Mautic, Linux, CI/CD, automated testing, technical SEO, accessible web development, B2B portals, roles and permission systems, or technical and industrial products. German is welcome but not required. Benefits Permanent local full-time employment in Taiwan; this is not a freelance or contractor position. Flexible working hours, regular office attendance and up to one or two home-office days per week; the role is not fully remote. Possible performance-based bonus. Direct collaboration with decision-makers and the team in Germany, with high personal responsibility and short decision paths. Long-term responsibility instead of short-term project work, with the opportunity to help shape WEROCK’s presence in Taiwan. Please submit your application in English and include: A short motivation, your CV and a portfolio of relevant WordPress websites or development projects. A brief explanation of your personal contribution to each submitted project. Your current location, work-permit status in Taiwan, expected monthly salary and earliest possible start date. A GitHub or GitLab profile and additional code samples are welcome. Relevant WordPress project experience is required for this role.
