We're hiring a hands-on Tech Lead to own the architecture and lead a small, fast-moving engineering team through the build.

The mission
Own the technical architecture and delivery of the platform end to end, and write code alongside the team.
This is a builder-leader role on a lean team — you'll set the technical direction and also be in the codebase every day.
What You'll Do
Design and own the application architecture: a modular monolith with clean boundaries between the platform's core modules, built to scale without a premature move to microservices.Own the multi-tenant data model, including row-level security so each customer's data stays strictly isolated by design.Set up and maintain the CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions, Docker) and coordinate with our existing DevOps engineer on deployment and infrastructure.Lead code review, set engineering standards, and mentor two full-stack developers so they can own features independently.Make and document the foundational technical decisions so the team can move fast without re-litigating basics.Run the engineering side of sprint planning and demos; identify and clear technical risks early.
Must have
Strong production experience with TypeScript/Node.js (NestJS or similar) and PostgreSQL, with a track record of shipping and operating real systems.Experience with React for front-end architecture, ideally building Progressive Web Apps.Has designed multi-tenant or data-isolation systems and understands the security implications.Comfortable owning CI/CD and working closely with a DevOps engineer on cloud infrastructure (containers, managed cloud services).Writes code daily and wants to — leads by building, not only by directing.Able to design a clean, well-documented REST API that a future mobile app can integrate against without rework.
Nice to have
Experience with offline-first or sync-heavy applications.Familiarity with third-party payment gateway integrations.Prior early-stage or founding-engineer experience, comfortable with startup ambiguity and pace.Exposure to React Native — not required now, but useful as the product adds a mobile app later.
What Success Looks Like In The First 90 Days
The platform skeleton, multi-tenant data model, and CI/CD pipeline are live; the team is shipping to staging every sprint; and the two full-stack developers are productive and unblocked.
