About the role
We're looking for an engineer to own the next phase of Ender.
This is a fast-paced, early-stage startup role for someone who takes ownership, moves quickly and ships.
What you'll do
Ship full-stack product across React/TypeScript and Python/FastAPI, from interaction design through APIs, data models and production deployment.Build agentic workflows that reason across case files, financial data and statutory processes using tool calling, structured outputs, retrieval and long-running orchestration.Tune concurrency, autoscaling, caching and database performance.Own production infrastructure, observability and failure recovery across GCP and Supabase.
About Ender
Ender is building the AI-native operating system for insolvency.
Insolvency Practitioners take control of failed companies, reconstruct years of financial activity, recover assets, manage creditors and report under strict statutory deadlines.
Ender replaces that stack with one system for case management and AI embedded into the workflow.
Ender is already being used by Australian insolvency firms on live appointments.
We are part of Antler AUS16, have strong traction and are a team of three.
You might be a fit if you
• Are a university student or recent graduate who wants exposure inside an early-stage, high-growth startup.
• Are academically strong and can point to products, tools or projects you have actually shipped.
• Work like an AI-native engineer: coding agents are part of your default workflow, but you still own the architecture, quality and outcome.
• Can navigate unfamiliar codebases and work across product, backend systems and infrastructure as the problem demands.
• Have enough DevOps knowledge to deploy, observe and operate cloud systems in GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Move quickly, take ownership and make good decisions without waiting for perfect requirements.
• An interest in financial services or vertical SaaS.
You do not need insolvency experience or a perfect match across the stack.
We care more that you're fun, keen, and have a track record of building real things.
The role is designed to convert to full-time, with equity offered on successful conversion.
