Junior Software Engineer

Role Overview We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software sub-system components that span across our product's ecosystem including algorithm development, backend services and UI implementation. Your code will power flight-critical systems and ISR drones globally. This is a rare opportunity to deploy high-stakes software across a fleet of international platforms. Development for this role will largely be undertaken in C++/Python/Javascript (prior experience with C++ is essential). Role Responsibilities •Transforming assigned task requirements into functional, high-quality code that satisfy the project objectives. •Assist in the design and implementation of software modules responsible for system communication, telemetry processing, and data handling. •Support the integration of software components across multiple systems including ground control applications, embedded platforms, and network services. •Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established engineering practices and coding standards. •Contribute to debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects across environments. •Participate in code reviews and collaborate with senior engineers to improve code quality and system reliability. •Support testing and validation activities including unit testing, integration testing, and system-level verification. •Participate in prototyping and experimentation to evaluate new capabilities, algorithms, and system improvements. •Generate clear technical documentation to support product releases and code base maintainability Essential Qualifications •Bachelor, Master or PhD Engineering Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science (or technical degree with relevant professional experience) •3+ years of industry experience including substantial C++ development •Experience reading, understanding and modifying existing C++, Python and Javascript and codebases •Ability to work independently and in a team environment •Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities •Strong written and oral communication skills •Hold a minimum Baseline security clearance Desired Qualifications •Experience with ArduPilot and/or MAVLink frameworks •Experience with UAVs in either a professional, educational or hobby environment. •Remote pilot licence (RePL)
