About The Role We are supporting a high-growth cybersecurity SaaS scale-up in their search for a skilled Node.js Backend Developer. This fully remote position within the UK offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of critical production APIs and serverless microservices. As a key member of the engineering team, you will work closely with senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain secure, reliable services that operate in real-time to safeguard users. Your contributions will directly impact the security and efficiency of the company's platform, making this role ideal for a developer passionate about building robust backend systems in a dynamic environment. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Node.js development.Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.Familiarity with AWS Amplify is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of API security protocols, including OAuth and JWT.Proficiency in SQL and MySQL query optimization, with experience working with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and modern development workflows.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and secure RESTful APIs and serverless microservices on AWS to support the company's SaaS platform.Optimize data access and query performance across MySQL/RDS and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and reliable software releases.Implement observability tools and practices to monitor system health and performance.Contribute to architecture design, testing, and comprehensive documentation to support maintainability and scalability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security, reliability, and high-quality code delivery.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in backend development and cloud technologies.
