.NET Developer

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join a dynamic technology team in Sydney. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale digital solutions while contributing to the organization's technology roadmap and innovation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Understand technology strategy, architecture principles, and systems roadmap to deliver aligned technical solutions.Analyze business requirements and break down user stories into development tasks with effort estimations.Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions while minimizing technical debt.Build secure, scalable, reliable, and highly available applications and services.Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern web applications.Provide Level 3 production support and assist in troubleshooting complex technical issues.Learn and adapt to new technologies and applications as required.Develop and execute automated tests, following Test Driven Development (TDD) practices.Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.Create and maintain technical documentation, user stories, and design artefacts.Identify and resolve risks and issues, escalating where appropriate.Contribute to engineering standards, continuous improvement initiatives, and innovation across the development team.Support long-term application modernization and future-proofing strategies.Required Skills & Experience Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Technical Experience 8+ years of software development experience.5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET technologies (.NET Core/.NET Framework).Strong experience developing enterprise digital solutions using modern UI/UX frameworks.Core Technical Skills C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, MVC.SQL Server development and performance tuning.Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) applications.PowerShell scripting and automation.Microservices architecture and distributed systems.Modern API development and integration.Front-End Technologies React.js or Angular.TypeScript.HTML5, CSS3.SCSS, SASS, LESS.Responsive and mobile-first design principles.Micro Frontend architecture.Cloud & DevOps Azure DevOps.Azure Services and/or AWS.Azure Front Door.Azure API Management (APIM).Web Application Firewall (WAF).Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.CI/CD pipeline implementation.Enterprise Integration & Middleware Experience integrating with Oracle Cloud applications and platforms.Middleware technologies and enterprise integration patterns.Third-party system integrations and API gateways.Testing & Quality Test Driven Development (TDD).Automated testing frameworks.Secure coding practices.Code quality and vulnerability management tools such as Snyk.Monitoring & Observability Dynatrace or similar observability/monitoring tools.Logging and monitoring frameworks.Application performance monitoring.Data Access & Security ORM frameworks such as Dapper.Strong understanding of cybersecurity controls, secure application design, and governance.Authentication and authorization best practices.Preferred Experience Experience working within large enterprise environments.Banking, financial services, insurance, utilities, or government sector experience.Exposure to cloud-native applications and containerized solutions.Experience with Agile delivery methodologies using Jira and Confluence.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Experience mentoring developers and conducting code reviews.Key Attributes Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset.Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.Commitment to software quality, continuous improvement, and innovation.Strong ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes.
