About The Role We are seeking a skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join our Secure Mission Systems team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop modern, secure, and interactive software applications tailored for high-impact defense missions. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript, supporting geospatial visualization features with Cesium, and integrating frontend components with backend services built with FastAPI and Flask. You will have broader ownership than typical interface tickets, contributing across the entire application development lifecycle, including API integration, automated testing, secure software delivery, documentation, and participating in technical reviews. The position requires active final DoD Secret clearance and is primarily remote, with onsite work in Laurel, Maryland, approximately once every six weeks for team-wide sprint planning. This role provides a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical software that enhances decision-making capabilities in complex operational environments. The role is contingent upon contract award and final customer approval.
