Role Description The Engineering Manager at SwitchQuo will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring high-quality delivery of software solutions and system integrations. This full-time, on-site role in Kathmandu involves overseeing day-to-day development activities, coordinating project plans and timelines, and aligning engineering efforts with product and business goals. The Engineering Manager will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to refine requirements, manage priorities, and remove blockers for the team. Responsibilities include conducting regular one-on-ones, fostering a healthy team culture, reviewing technical designs and code, and promoting best practices in software engineering and project execution. The role also involves monitoring system performance, guiding integration efforts, and continuously improving processes to support reliable, scalable systems. Qualifications Strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills to guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.Hands-on experience in Software Development and Integration to support technical decision-making and system design.Proficiency in Project Management to plan, execute, and deliver engineering initiatives on time and within scope.Experience with modern software development practices (e.g., Agile, CI/CD, code review, testing) and scalable architecture design.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated capability to build inclusive, supportive team environments and manage performance constructively.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is beneficial.Experience leading engineering teams in product-focused or platform-focused organizations; exposure to systems integration projects is a plus.Comfort working on-site in Kathmandu and aligning with local and global stakeholders as needed.
