Staff DevOps Engineer
An established technology company in the healthcare and life sciences sector is seeking an experienced Staff DevOps Engineer to provide technical leadership across its cloud and platform engineering function.
This is a senior, hands-on technical leadership role focused on defining cloud strategy, improving platform reliability and scalability, and driving engineering best practices across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive cloud, platform and DevOps strategy.
Lead architecture for AWS, Kubernetes and platform engineering.
Improve reliability, security, scalability and developer experience.
Establish engineering standards, reference architectures and platform best practices.
Partner with engineering, product and security leaders on technical direction.
Mentor engineers and support technical leadership across teams.
Contribute to complex technical design and prototyping where appropriate.
Requirements
Approximately 10+ years' experience in DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering, including technical leadership.
Deep expertise in AWS and Kubernetes.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, cloud architecture and platform governance.
Experience developing CI/CD platforms and improving operational maturity.
Ability to influence technical strategy across multiple teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
Experience in agile and distributed engineering environments.
Experience in regulated industries or early-stage technology companies is advantageous.
Location
Hybrid role based in Dublin, with one day per week onsite.
