The role spans frontend, backend, high-performance Rust services, and AI inference, with responsibility for designing and shipping quality product features end-to-end.

Highlights

Hands-on senior engineering role with end-to-end product ownership, direct collaboration with technical leadership, and opportunities to work across secure backend services, frontend systems, Rust, and AI capabilities.

Description

About Us FIOR.Group Limited builds the trust infrastructure for the AI age. Our flagship product, the FIOR AI Gateway, acts as SSL for AI — giving enterprises certificate-based identity, policy enforcement, and quantum-safe cryptography for autonomous AI agents. The platform pairs a high-performance Rust gateway agent with a multi-tenant control plane and role-specific portals, used by regulated organisations across finance, energy, defence, and aerospace. The Role We're hiring a senior software developer to build and evolve the FIOR AI Gateway product end-to-end. Working directly with the CTO in a small, senior team, you'll design and ship secure product features across the frontend, backend, core Rust services, and AI inference layer. This is a hands-on software engineering role focused on product development, code quality, and technical problem-solving. What You'll Do Design and integrate AI capabilities using hosted and self-hosted models, including Llama-family models served through vLLM, alongside commercial APIs such as OpenAI and Gemini.Build robust backend services and Supabase Edge Functions for AI-assisted investigation, traffic inspection, certificate signing, license binding, and other security workflows.Develop well-structured APIs, domain models, and application services that connect the control plane, customer portals, AI services, and the high-performance gateway agent.Maintain and extend the fior-agent Rust codebase, including the policy engine, certificate validation, license enforcement, event recording, and integrations with the wider platform.Build user-facing features across the React/TypeScript frontend and Supabase backend, including Postgres, row-level security, edge functions, realtime subscriptions, and storage.Improve software quality through thoughtful architecture, code review, automated testing, performance profiling, secure coding practices, and pragmatic technical documentation.Collaborate with product, security, and customer-facing colleagues to turn complex requirements into reliable, maintainable software and support technical demonstrations when needed.Required Skills & Experience AI/LLM Development: Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into production software, including prompt and context design, structured outputs, tool calling, orchestration, evaluation, and failure handling.Local Model Serving: Practical experience with vLLM and Llama-family models, including model selection, OpenAI-compatible serving APIs, inference configuration, performance trade-offs, and production integration.Backend Development: Strong experience designing APIs and data-intensive services, with solid SQL, schema design, migrations, row-level security, edge functions (Deno), and Supabase/Postgres.Core and Systems Development: Able to read, modify, test, and extend a non-trivial asynchronous Rust service using frameworks such as axum and tokio.Frontend Development: 6+ years building production web applications with React and TypeScript, including hooks, context, routing, state management, accessible components, and maintainable UI architecture.Software Architecture & Security: Strong understanding of modular design, API contracts, testing, and multi-tenant SaaS. Practical experience with RBAC, OAuth, JWT, X.509, PKI, TLS/mTLS, and modern signing and verification flows.Communication: Clear written and verbal communication, sound engineering judgement, and the ability to work independently in a senior, asynchronous, low-overhead product team.Bonus Points For: Retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, and agentic or tool-using AI workflows.Prompt-injection defences, LLM security, model evaluation, observability, or inference optimisation.Post-quantum cryptography or compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR, or FIPS 140-3.What We Offer Direct ownership and visible impact on a category-defining product, at the intersection of AI, cryptography, and enterprise security. A modern stack, a small team, and no legacy bureaucracy. Competitive base salary. Fully remote flexibility with periodic in-person meet-ups.
