Senior Azure DevOps / Platform Engineer Location: Stavanger, Norway Employment: Permanent Working model: Hybrid — 3 days per week in the office Compensation: Up to approximately 1.2M NOK base for highly experienced candidates, plus bonus and benefits We're supporting the software division of a major global technology organisation as it expands its engineering capability in Stavanger. We're looking for an experienced Azure DevOps / Platform Engineer to help own and develop the cloud infrastructure behind a technically sophisticated enterprise software platform. This is a hands-on engineering role working across Azure infrastructure, Linux, Infrastructure as Code, container platforms, observability and engineering automation. The environment You'll work with technologies including: Microsoft AzureLinuxTerraformKubernetesDockerDatadogCI/CD toolingNix / NixOS Previous NixOS experience would be particularly valuable but isn't mandatory for an otherwise strong Azure/Linux platform engineer. What we're looking for You should have substantial production experience across: Microsoft AzureLinux environmentsTerraform or similar Infrastructure as CodeKubernetes and DockerCloud infrastructure and platform engineeringProduction monitoring and observabilityCI/CD and engineering automation Experience with cloud-cost optimisation, Datadog or Nix/NixOS would be advantageous. The engineering team uses AI-assisted development tooling extensively, so you should already be comfortable incorporating tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor or equivalent into your engineering workflow. We're particularly interested in engineers who enjoy technically complex environments, are comfortable learning unfamiliar domains and can take genuine ownership rather than simply executing predefined infrastructure tasks. A Master's degree in Computer Science or a similarly rigorous engineering discipline is preferred for candidates around the six-year experience level. Highly experienced engineers may be considered with a Bachelor's degree. The organisation works internationally, so English is the working language. International candidates requiring relocation or visa support can be considered.
