Job Title: Frontend Developer (React, TypeScript & UX/UI) Location: Porto, Portugal Work Model: Full-time & Hybrid (ideally 1-2 days per week on-site) About Us MOZAYDO was built by people who believe work should feel human - even when powered by technology. We’re a remote-first company that connects talent, technology, and purpose to help companies grow sustainably. We also believe recruitment should be more than matching keywords to job descriptions. It's about understanding people, recognising potential, and creating the right conditions for long-term success. Here, ownership matters more than control, and progress matters more than perfection. People powered, tech enabled. About the Role We're looking for someone who can bring their expertise, ambition, and unique perspective to one of the project teams we support. At MOZAYDO, we believe great careers are built where talent, purpose, and opportunity meet. While we're currently hiring for a specific project environment, our focus goes beyond matching skills to requirements. We want to understand where you can create the most impact and continue growing. For this opportunity, we are looking for a Frontend Developer with strong React and TypeScript skills and a genuine interest in UX/UI and the overall user experience. You will join a small product-focused team developing end-to-end digital solutions for the beverage industry, supporting areas ranging from product and packaging workflows to logistics and technology. The role involves technically demanding frontend challenges, including a visual PDF template editor, browser-side document generation, runtime branding and a reusable internal design system. We are looking for someone who can see beyond individual screens and understand the product as a whole. You should be able to translate user workflows into intuitive interfaces, recognise the business impact of design and engineering decisions, and take ownership of frontend solutions from initial problem analysis through to delivery and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Build and evolve production frontend applications using React and TypeScript.Translate complex business workflows into clear, intuitive and responsive user experiences.Develop sophisticated interactive interfaces, including a visual PDF template editor with drag-and-drop, layers and undo/redo functionality.Implement browser-side PDF generation while maintaining application responsiveness and performance.Use Web Workers or equivalent browser capabilities for computationally intensive operations.Develop and maintain runtime white-label and branding capabilities without fragmenting the codebase.Create and evolve reusable UI components, frontend patterns and the internal design system.Manage complex application state, asynchronous data and API interactions.Collaborate with product, backend and QA colleagues to define solutions that balance usability, feasibility and business value.Contribute to frontend testing, accessibility, performance, reliability and maintainability.Identify user-experience issues and propose practical improvements rather than waiting for fully specified tasks.Communicate progress, risks and decisions clearly within a small, collaborative team. Requirements Professional experience developing production frontend applications with React and TypeScript.Solid knowledge of modern JavaScript, HTML and CSS.Strong sensitivity to UX/UI, usability and the overall user journey.Experience translating product or business requirements into intuitive user interfaces.Experience managing complex frontend state and asynchronous data.Experience building reusable components or contributing to a design system.Understanding of responsive design, accessibility and frontend performance.Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.Experience with frontend testing and component-driven development.Ability to approach frontend development from both an engineering and product perspective.Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy and flexibility.Comfort working with evolving requirements and taking broad ownership in a small team.Fluent Portuguese, as it is essential for effective collaboration with the wider team.Fluent English.Availability and willingness to work from Porto ideally one or two days per week.A collaborative mindset and genuine appreciation for the value of in-person proximity within a small team.Experience with canvas-based editors, drag-and-drop interfaces, undo/redo architectures, Web Workers, browser-side PDF generation or white-label platforms will be particularly valued.Familiarity with some of the following technologies would also be beneficial: Vite, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, shadcn/ui, TanStack Query, Zustand, Storybook and Vitest. Hiring Process Our hiring process is designed to help both sides make an informed decision and ensure the best possible match between your experience, aspirations, and the project environment. Please note that the process may vary depending on the complexity and specific requirements of each opportunity. 1 - Initial Conversation with Us: a first discussion focused on understanding your background, strengths, motivations, and the type of environment where you can thrive and create the greatest impact. 2 - Project Team Qualification: a conversation with the project team to explore the role, responsibilities, expectations, and mutual alignment. 3 - Role-Specific Evaluation (when applicable): depending on the position, this stage may include technical assessments, practical exercises, certification validation, personality assessments, security clearance requirements, or other evaluation methods relevant to the role. 4 - Final Alignment Meeting: a final conversation to ensure expectations are aligned on both sides and that, if we move forward together, we start with clarity, confidence, and shared objectives.
