Client: Justice Technology Services Ministry: Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement Location: 21 College Street, Toronto, Ontario Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite – 5 Days per Week Contract Start: October 1, 2026 Contract End: October 5, 2027 Number of Positions: 3 Security Clearance: CRJMC About the Opportunity Justice Technology Services is seeking three highly experienced Senior Software Developers to support the Criminal Justice Digital Design (CJDD) modernization program. The successful candidates will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and integration of highly secure, high-performance, highly available digital products. The work will involve applications and integration endpoints supporting initiatives such as Criminal eIntake, eSearchWarrant, eHub, Digital Information Repository (DIR), and related integration workstreams. This is an excellent opportunity for senior developers with strong expertise in Angular, RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, Cloud-Native technologies, Microservices, Azure, CI/CD, automated testing, security, and accessibility standards. Key Responsibilities Analyze, design, develop, code, test, and implement application capabilities and APIs. Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, and tested software solutions. Develop front-end user interfaces, backend business logic, and integration layers. Build enterprise-grade applications using Angular, RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, Cloud-Native frameworks, and Microservices architecture. Develop detailed programming specifications, technical designs, prototypes, and SDLC documentation. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance tuning. Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and enterprise architecture standards. Participate in software design and documentation throughout all phases of the SDLC. Troubleshoot production issues, analyze application logs, and provide operational/on-call support as required. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives. Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Support knowledge transfer through documentation, presentations, team meetings, and SharePoint artifacts. Requirements Mandatory Skills & Experience Candidates must clearly demonstrate the following mandatory qualifications: 1. Senior Software Development Experience Minimum 10 years of hands-on software development experience. Experience developing highly sensitive and secure, high-performance, and highly available Cloud solutions. Experience with application performance analysis, modeling, and tuning. 2. Angular, REST API & Enterprise Application Development Minimum 5 years of experience developing enterprise-grade applications. Extensive experience with: RESTful APIs Angular frameworks Microservices architecture/model API documentation and testing 3. Front-End Development Minimum 5 years of demonstrated Front-End/User Interface development experience, including: HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript TypeScript Responsive Web Design Cross-browser compatibility Deep knowledge of Angular, including: Components Services Modules Decorators Routing Latest Angular features and best practices 4. Enterprise Integration Experience with enterprise integration technologies such as: JMS AMQP REST IBM Mainframe interfaces, including IMS Adapter Candidates should understand how to utilize these technologies within a Spring Integration context. 5. Database & SQL Strong SQL skills. Extensive experience working with relational databases such as: SQL Server PostgreSQL Oracle Experience with non-relational/unstructured databases such as MongoDB. 6. Azure Platform Solid experience and knowledge of Microsoft Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS). Experience with Azure processes, tooling, and technical practices supporting application delivery, build, and continuous operations. Highly Desired Technical Skills Candidates with the following experience will be strongly preferred: Strong expertise in Angular and Open-Source Cloud-Native frameworks.
