About the Role: We're looking for a DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure & Platform to join our team and work alongside our existing DevOps engineer to own our infrastructure. This is a hands-on role — you'll be architecting our AWS environment, managing our Kubernetes clusters, and building the CI/CD systems our engineering team depends on every day. We need someone who has done this work before, in production, and can point to real systems they've built and run. You'll make infrastructure decisions that directly affect how fast and how reliably we ship product. Required: 4+ years of hands-on DevOps/infrastructure experience, with direct ownership of production systemsExperience working in a startup or similarly fast-paced, resource-constrained environment (Must-have)Expert-level AWS production experience — not just familiarity, but having built and run real production environmentsKubernetes cluster architecture and administration in productionDeep Terraform experience at scale — writing, maintaining, and evolving IaC for live systemsExperience designing and running CI/CD systems end-to-endStrong Python and Bash skills for infrastructure automationCloud security architecture, networking design, and compliance experienceDirect experience building a production environment from scratch Tech Stack: Cloud: AWSContainers: Docker, KubernetesCI/CD: Modern CI/CD platformsIaC: Terraform Preferred: Microservices architecture at scaleAdvanced observability implementationDatabase operations experienceCompliance implementation experienceGitOps workflows What You'll Do: Own infrastructure strategy and architecture decisionsDesign and implement scalable, secure cloud environmentsArchitect and optimize production Kubernetes clustersEstablish DevOps best practices, standards, and processesBuild and maintain CI/CD systems for fast, reliable deploymentsImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting across our infrastructureDrive infrastructure automation initiativesOwn incident response and establish SLIs/SLOsDefine security policies and compliance controlsOptimize infrastructure costs and performanceCreate documentation and runbooks What We're Looking For: Someone who has actually done this work — not adjacent to it, not managing people who did it, but hands-on, in production. You've built and run infrastructure in a startup or similarly lean environment where you owned the outcome. You can talk specifics: what you built, what broke, how you fixed it, what you'd do differently. You're looking for a role where your work has direct, visible impact — not one system among many, but the systems this company runs on. You make sound technical decisions with incomplete information and are equally comfortable heads-down in Terraform or thinking through the next six months of infrastructure needs.
