About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the governance, administration, and operational execution of our CI/CD ecosystem supporting Mortenson's Oracle PaaS and SaaS platforms.
Your expertise will ensure the deployment, migration, and ongoing management of Oracle Cloud Applications and related technologies are secure, reliable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
This role involves a strategic component, including roadmap development, standards enforcement, and adoption of best practices in deployment automation and observability.
Balancing tactical execution with strategic planning, you will serve as the primary technical authority for code promotion, deployment automation, and software delivery governance, contributing significantly to the organization’s operational maturity and platform reliability.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps, Application Delivery, Release Engineering, or Platform Engineering.At least 3 years supporting Oracle Cloud platforms, including Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and OCI-based solutions.Proven track record managing enterprise-level CI/CD platforms and executing production releases efficiently and securely.Hands-on experience with Observability and Monitoring tools such as Application Performance Monitoring (APM), log aggregation, and metric visualization platforms.Strong leadership and collaboration skills to facilitate effective communication across multiple technical and business teams.Technical proficiency with Oracle technology stacks, including APEX, ORDS, Oracle Databases, VBCS, and PL/SQL.Strategic planning capabilities, with the ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive DevOps roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
Preferred
Experience with FlexDeploy, Oracle Visual Builder Studio, and Azure DevOps.Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.Familiarity with IT Automation tools such as Ansible.Experience in Application Development and SDLC processes.
Responsibilities
DevOps Tool Administration and Automation:
Administer and support FlexDeploy and related CI/CD and configuration management tools.Manage source control integrations, branching strategies, build pipelines, and deployment automation workflows.Develop and refine automation processes for Oracle Cloud deployments, configurations, and environment promotions to enhance efficiency and consistency.
CI/CD Governance, Process Ownership, And Production Deployment
Define, implement, and maintain deployment standards, code promotion processes, and migration controls to ensure compliance and traceability.Establish governance policies that ensure all deployments are auditable, compliant, and aligned with best practices.Maintain deployment approval workflows and integrate change management processes.Coordinate and execute production releases, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
Monitoring, Reliability, And Operational Excellence
Manage the Observability and Monitoring platform, developing monitoring strategies and alert systems for Oracle Cloud solutions.Establish deployment metrics, KPIs, and health reports to track system performance and deployment success.Partner with platform teams to improve system reliability, deployment speed, and operational maturity.Troubleshoot pipeline failures and deployment issues promptly to minimize impact on operations.
