Our approach is incremental — we progressively replace legacy components with modern, well-tested services while the existing platform continues to serve production traffic (think patterns like strangler fig, anti-corruption layers, or similar proven strategies). We also leverage AI-assisted engineering where it delivers measurable value — from code generation and analysis to testing and documentation — always within corporate guardrails and enterprise governance. How you create impact Design and implement RESTful APIs using the OpenAPI specification to expose platform capabilities as self-service interfacesWrite production services in Go — our primary language for new development — progressively replacing Perl and C componentsContribute to our domain-specific language (DSL) that replaces Kornshell-based user workflows, scriptable via Python or LuaUse AI tools purposefully to accelerate development, improve code quality, and tackle legacy code comprehension — within defined enterprise boundariesMaintain and extend existing Perl codebases where the migration has not yet reached — understanding legacy is a prerequisite to replacing itEnsure cloud-agnostic deployability by designing services that run on any major cloud provider or on-premises infrastructure Participate in pair programming, design discussions, and code reviews with a focus on clean code, testability, and incremental delivery What we would like you to bring Strong proficiency in Go (preferred) or Perl, with willingness to grow in both Experience designing or consuming REST APIs (OpenAPI / Swagger)Solid understanding of unit and integration testing practices Comfort working with Linux (RedHat) and ideally exposure to UNIX systems (AIX) Experience with incremental modernization of legacy systems — replacing components step by step while keeping the whole system operational Pragmatic approach to AI-assisted development — knowing when and where AI adds value in an engineering workflow Experience in agile software development (Scrum, Kanban, or similar) What's in it for you Work on large-scale enterprise applications that support global business operations.Be part of a highly collaborative and supportive engineering culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.Influence technical decisions, architecture, and engineering best practices across the team.Help shape our AI-first engineering journey by experimenting with emerging AI technologies and influencing how AI becomes an integral part of our software development lifecycle.Gain exposure to modern technologies, including microservices, cloud platforms, distributed systems, messaging solutions, and AI-enabled development practices.
