This role is based in Wroclaw, Poland. Title in the contract: Senior Associate, Full-Stack Engineer In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Participate in the technical design, development, and implementation of application systemsDesign and develop well‑structured, testable, and efficient codeCreate test transactions and develop documentation describing installation and operating proceduresUtilize standard development procedures and techniques to build programs of moderate complexity, including match/merge processing and use of internal program tablesFollow the Software Development Life Cycle with an AI‑first mindsetAnalyze, design, and develop automated test suites and quality assurance proceduresDevelop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to support business and technical requirementsMaintain software functionality and currency by addressing technical debt and driving continuous improvementActively participate in code reviews and integrate software components into fully functional systemsApply security, privacy, and risk management principles throughout the development lifecycleExecute full lifecycle software development, including troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systemsParticipate in deployment activities in compliance with all change management controlsProvide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements to existing platformsOffer recommendations to improve performance, scalability, and reliabilityDesign and develop backend features and componentsProvide application development services and technical support in complex scenariosLead technical design, development, and documentation for cross‑functional, multi‑platform systemsSupport deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiativesContribute to engineering excellence through collaboration, code reviews, and best‑practice adoption To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience7+ years of software development experience with Java, Spring, and Angular, OracleStrong experience building web applications using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Angular (16+)Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE frameworks, Web Services, HTML/CSS, Web 2.0, and MySQL/Oracle databasesExperience working in Agile delivery environmentsExperience with LLMs and prompt engineering is a plus At BNY, our culture speaks for itself, check out the latest BNY news at: BNY Newsroom BNY LinkedIn Here’s a Few Of Our Recent Awards America’s Most Innovative Companies, Fortune, 2025World’s Most Admired Companies, Fortune 2025“Most Just Companies”, Just Capital and CNBC, 2025 Our Benefits And Rewards BNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay-for-performance philosophy.
