Reports to: Engineering Manager / Frontend Chapter Lead
Salary range: RON 10800 - 15300 net/month, based on experience and final assessment
About the role
Adore Me is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Frontend Engineering team.
In this role, you will act as a technical leader and go-to expert driving the architecture of our user-facing web applications and internal tooling ecosystem.
You will work closely with Product Managers and cross-functional engineering teams to make smart architectural trade-offs, balance performance with complexity, and elevate our engineering standards.
This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys technical mentorship, solving complex architectural challenges, and maintaining operational excellence in high-traffic production environments.
What you’ll do
Lead the integration of new features and architect new modules across our Next.js web applications (SSR) and React/Angular internal tools.Act as a key technical voice in cross-team discussions, explicitly balancing developer experience, performance, and system complexity.Partner closely with Product Managers to make pragmatic decisions between "perfect code" and "good enough" delivery based on business impact.Proactively identify and categorize technical debt, executing refactoring initiatives before they become operational blockers.Maintain deep ownership of the production environment by leading complex incident debugging and building preventive tooling.Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, technical documentation, and hands-on guidance to elevate overall team capability.Apply Agile project management principles and 80/20 decision-making to deliver high-quality, production-grade software.
What we’re looking for
At least 5 years of professional experience developing, testing, and maintaining complex, scale-ready web applications.Strong expertise in web fundamentals (HTML, CSS) and mastery of modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework practices.Deep understanding of HTTP, browser behavior, modern API design, and frontend performance optimization.Proven capability to analyze, debug, and manage production incidents across the full frontend stack.A pragmatic, structured approach to AI-assisted engineering—knowing how to establish guardrails (tests, code reviews) to leverage AI without compromising code quality or security.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Systems, or a related engineering field (or equivalent practical experience).Excellent written and spoken English skills with the ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
How you work
You provide direction in complex or ambiguous situations, helping the team navigate change with confidence. You take deep ownership of key technical areas while knowing how and when to delegate to support team growth. You actively seek out constructive feedback on design specs and code reviews, using peer input to refine architectural decisions. You bring an entrepreneurial, discovery mindset with a high standard of professional integrity and work quality. You approach problems with structure, data-driven analysis, and attention to detail.
Nice to have
Hands-on experience working across multi-framework environments (combining React and legacy/secondary frameworks like Angular).Demonstrated experience evaluating and adopting modern tooling across large-scale e-commerce or consumer web applications.
Compensation and benefits
Salary range: RON 10800 - 15300 net per month, depending on experience and the final level assessment.
