We are seeking an experienced C# / C++ developer for Windows and iOS for our team in Poland who enjoys working in a diverse team of highly capable engineers About The Role As a C# / C++ developer at ForeFlight / Jeppesen ForeFlight, you will work mainly on a Windows EFB application, while also contributing to a middleware SDK/library used by client applications across platforms, including Windows and iOS. Typical Tasks And Responsibilities Include Software development of the Windows EFB applicationMaintenance and optimization of existing featuresWorking with C#, UWP/XAML and C++ componentsDebugging issues across managed and native codeContributing to content delivery SDK/library codeSupporting platform adapter work for Windows, WinRT/UWP and iOSWorking with HTTP/REST integrations, content download flows, certificates and authenticationImproving error handling, retries, logging and diagnosticsCollaborating with developers, test engineers and stakeholders across global teamsSupporting automated tests, CI builds and release packagingProactively working with test engineers to ensure product reliability and safety Who are you? Role In order to succeed in this role, you should be able to recognize yourself in at least some of the following: Educational background in a relevant technical field, e.g. software engineering, computer science, electronics and telecommunications, data science, or related discipline.5+ years of strong software development experience with C# and C++14 or newerCommunicative English and ability to collaborate with global stakeholdersExperience with Windows client developmentExperience with UWP / XAML; WPF experience is also valuableExperience with Visual Studio, MSBuild, NuGet and Windows SDKGood understanding of asynchronous programming and multithreaded workflowsExperience working with large existing codebases and legacy componentsGood debugging skills across C#, C++ and native/managed boundariesExperience with unit and integration testingExperience with HTTP/REST integrations, error handling, retries and loggingBasic understanding of certificates, authentication flows and secure storageYou try to understand the problem, not only implement the requested changeA passion for aviation is a strong plus.
