As a Software Development Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of secure, scalable enterprise applications.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support our global network and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain end-to-end web applications, including solutions built on the InterSystems IRIS platform.Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and microservices.Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver intuitive, reliable solutions.Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL data stores, including InterSystems IRIS, PostgreSQL, and Amazon S3.Build automated tests and contribute to quality practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.Apply secure development practices to protect applications and customer data.Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.Support troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of production issues as needed.Contribute to continuous improvements in engineering processes, tooling, code quality, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of professional software development experience.Experience designing, building, and maintaining web applications or backend services in a production environment.Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Working knowledge of CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Commitment to building secure, scalable, and high-quality software.Ability to successfully pass an extended background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with InterSystems technologies, including InterSystems IRIS, Caché, or Ensemble.Experience with supply-chain interoperability formats, such as EDIFACT/EANCOM, XML, X12, or IDOC.Experience with healthcare interoperability formats, such as HL7, FHIR, or X12.Experience with interoperability protocols, including SFTP, AS2, and HTTPS.Experience with messaging platforms or queues, such as RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ.Familiarity with cloud-based enterprise platforms and distributed systems.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
