We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to take ownership of our Payments department.
We believe that writing code is no longer the hardest part of the job - AI handles that perfectly.
We are looking for an engineer who understands the business of payments, sees the bigger picture, and uses modern AI tools to ship features faster and smarter.
What You’ll Do:
Develop our payment infrastructure: You will play a key role in building and maintaining our gateway integrations (Stripe, Payabl, Adyen, etc.), subscription logic, invoicing, and refunds across multiple products.Bridge engineering and business: Translate business needs and revenue-critical flows into scalable backend logic.Leverage AI for execution: Use AI to accelerate your coding, allowing you to focus your brainpower on architecture, problem-solving, and business logic.Design, build, and maintain a modular backend architecture powering multiple digital ventures.Develop shared tools and APIs (authentication, analytics, billing, email, CRM integrations).Oversee infrastructure setups, troubleshoot production systems, and ensure high availability for all payment flows.
What we’re looking for:
Seniority: Middle/Middle+ level backend engineering experience.Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript (experience with NestJS is a big plus).Payment & Business Acumen: You have hands-on experience with payment integrations, subscription systems, and revenue-critical flows.
You care more about how the system solves a business problem than the pure syntax of the code.AI-Native Workflow (Crucial): You are not afraid of AI.
You actively use AI coding assistants in your daily workflow to write, refactor, and review code efficiently.Architecture skills: Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and scalable service design.Infrastructure knowledge: Confidence working across databases (SQL/NoSQL), server environments, and cloud infrastructure.
