Job Description
This role is open to both Sydney and Melbourne based candidates.
The Lead Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and direction within a high-performing Technology Delivery team, supporting the ongoing transformation towards continuous delivery and enhanced customer outcomes.
This role leads the development and support of Group, Investment and Retirement products hosted on the Acurity platform, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, well-engineered solutions aligned to business objectives.
Working collaboratively across delivery teams, the Lead Engineer will champion engineering standards, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of innovation.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical leadership, the ability to rapidly develop expertise across complex systems and interfaces, and a proactive approach to working within an agile delivery environment.
In This Role You Will
Provide input and thought leadership into the systems technology roadmap for the platform as well as the quality standards and processes for the platform.Provide technical direction to the Pod to deliver suitable technology products that enable desired business outcomes in the required timeframe and align with the platform roadmap in a continuous improvement environment.Identify and articulate business and technical risks and issues.
Take action to resolve issues, mitigate risks, minimise run costs and minimise technical debt.Configure and code changes and interfaces for the Acurity systems, and train others to be able to do the same.Perform, design, code and test-reviews and embed built-in quality practices to ensure products delivered by the Pod meet appropriate quality standards throughout development.A percentage of the Lead Engineer’s time will also be performing sprint tasks and developing software as per the criteria above.
