About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team at Zoom Video Communications. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our Zoom chat and meeting modules, utilizing cutting-edge frameworks such as React or Vue. Your expertise will help deliver real-time messaging, participant management, and multimedia collaboration features that enhance user experience across our platform. You will work on building hybrid WebView applications compatible with multiple platforms, ensuring seamless integration between JavaScript and native layers, and implementing efficient local asset caching strategies for localized resource delivery. Your responsibilities will also include processing streaming data via WebSocket and Zoom’s real-time APIs, creating reactive UI updates, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness under varying user loads. Additionally, you will focus on designing accessible web interfaces aligned with WCAG standards, conducting accessibility audits, and supporting inclusive user experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead international engineering efforts, and contribute to innovative communication solutions in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.Proven experience in frontend development, with strong proficiency in React, Vue.js, or similar frameworks.Hands-on experience with integrating SDKs, particularly Zoom SDK, for real-time communication features.Solid understanding of WebSocket, real-time APIs, and streaming data processing.Experience in developing hybrid WebView applications for multiple platforms, including Android and iOS.Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG, and experience performing accessibility audits.Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams including designers, backend developers, and mobile engineers.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote or hybrid environment. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Zoom chat and meeting modules, ensuring feature integration with Zoom SDK for real-time messaging, multimedia collaboration, and participant management.Implement and optimize hybrid WebView applications, building communication bridges between JavaScript and native layers to support multi-platform deployment.Apply local asset caching strategies to enhance localized resource delivery, reducing load times and improving user experience.Process and render streaming data using WebSocket and Zoom real-time APIs, ensuring reactive UI updates and high-performance responsiveness.Design accessible web interfaces in compliance with WCAG standards, perform accessibility audits, and implement necessary enhancements for full inclusivity.Write and maintain CI/CD scripts to automate build, testing, and deployment processes, integrating linting, unit tests, and accessibility validation steps.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and mobile engineers, to deliver consistent and high-quality user experiences across platforms.Lead and coordinate a distributed engineering team across multiple time zones, facilitating effective communication and ensuring aligned project delivery.Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold best practices and maintain code quality.
