Schwarz Digits creates the technological foundation for digital sovereignty in Europe.
As the IT and digital division of the Schwarz Group, we develop and manage the IT infrastructures for the retail divisions Lidl and Kaufland, as well as Schwarz Production and PreZero.
At the same time, we operate as an independent provider in the external market to support companies across Europe in their digital transformation.
We bundle our core services in the areas of Cloud, Cyber Security, Data & AI, Communication, and Workspace.

The Impact You Will Create
The team develops a modern, highly scalable microservice architecture running entirely on the STACKIT Cloud.
In addition to the Service Level Management (SLM) platform, the product teams develop further applications and APIs.
These include the Support API as a central connection to support for customers and partners, as well as Assume Role for authorized, C5-compliant access to customer data.
Microservice Development: Design and develop business-critical applications, APIs, and services with a focus on Go.Containerization: Package the developed microservices into container images for deployment in the STACKIT Kubernetes Engine (SKE).Database and System Integration: Connect services to various managed data stores, including PostgreSQL for structured data, MongoDB (NoSQL), and RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication.Scalability & Resilience: Develop cloud-native applications leveraging Kubernetes features like Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA), Liveness Probes, and Pod Disruption Budgets to ensure automatic scaling and self-repair/fault tolerance.Security: Integrate with the External Secrets Operator to ensure no credentials are hardcoded in Git or container images, but dynamically fetched from the centralized Secret Store at runtime.
Experience and Skills You will Need
Solid experience in software development, focusing on Go.Practical experience with container technologies and Kubernetes.Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and message brokers like RabbitMQ.Understanding of CI/CD processes (currently utilizing Forgejo, with a planned migration to GitLab) for automating application builds and tests.
