Description

We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer for a key client based in Luxembourg. Tasks to be performed Design and implement robust backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot.Lead the technical design of new features and enhancements.Coordinate and mentor other Java developers within the team.Review code and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.Drive software quality through design reviews, testing and continuous improvement.Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA engineers and DevOps engineers.Analyse complex functional and technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.Ensure maintainability, performance and security of developed solutions.Support CI/CD processes and participate in release activities.Provide second-line production support, root cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues.Take ownership of technical decisions and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. Requirements Specific Experience and Technical Knowledge in: Excellent knowledge of: Java 17Spring Framework / Spring BootJPA / HibernateSQLDesign and implementation of REST APIs Strong experience with: Apache Kafka or other messaging technologiesMavenJUnitCI/CD pipelinesGit Nice to have: Experience in the financial services or banking sectorAzure DevOpsLiquibaseSOAP web services Language: English (B2-level) Location: Luxembourg (On-site)
