Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead (Java | Azure) Join us to help modernize a leading investment accounting platform used by global financial institutions. As a hands-on engineering leader, you'll design and build scalable, cloud-ready services that support high-volume accounting and data processing. You'll work across architecture, development, and production support, helping transform legacy applications into modern API-first solutions. What you'll do Build and enhance scalable backend services using Java.Develop cloud-based solutions supporting real-time and batch processing.Modernize legacy platforms and drive cloud adoption.Lead technical design discussions and mentor engineers.Improve platform reliability, performance, observability, and security.Collaborate with global teams across Product, Architecture, and Operations.Drive best practices in CI/CD, automation, testing, and DevOps.Take end-to-end ownership of solutions from design through production. What we're looking for 7+ years of experience building enterprise-scale software systems.Strong Java and API development experience.Expertise with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and software engineering best practices.Ability to lead technical initiatives and work effectively in distributed teams. Nice to have Financial services, accounting, or transaction processing experience.Exposure to Oracle, Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, Python, or Angular.Experience modernizing legacy applications.Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
