Description
SMARTSOFT is looking for a motivated Junior System Administrator/DevOps Engineer who is interested in building a career in System Administration and DevOps.
Responsibilities
• Assist with the administration of Linux and Windows servers.
• Monitor servers, services, applications, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot basic system, network, and application issues.
• Assist with operating system updates, security patches, and configuration changes.
• Work with virtual machines and VMware infrastructure.
• Learn to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Docker containers and learn Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts.
• Assist with backup and recovery operations.
• Help automate repetitive administration tasks using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Monitor logs, system health, and performance metrics.
• Work with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot deployment and environment-related issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and internal procedures.
• Learn infrastructure security, access management, monitoring, automation, and DevOps best practices.
What We Expect
• 1+ Experience in System Administration or DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows administration.
