We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer specialized in Node.js to build and scale the backend infrastructure powering Compero.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Node.js.Build scalable REST APIs and backend architecture.Develop services using NestJS, ExpressJS, and/or FastifyJS.Design efficient database structures and queries.Integrate third-party APIs and external data sources.Build and maintain services responsible for processing large volumes of food, restaurant, pricing, and delivery data.Work with frontend, mobile, AI, and QA engineers.Improve API response times and overall application performance.Implement caching, queues, background jobs, and asynchronous processing where required.Build reliable data pipelines and synchronization processes.Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system stability.Write clean, maintainable, documented, and testable code.Implement appropriate security, authentication, logging, and monitoring practices.Participate in architecture and technical design decisions.RequirementsStrong professional experience with Node.js.Strong experience with NestJS.Experience with ExpressJS and/or FastifyJS.Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture.Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.Experience integrating third-party APIs.Understanding of caching, queues, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.Good understanding of Git and modern development workflows.Experience building production-grade and scalable backend applications.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Nice to HaveExperience with Redis.Experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.Experience with Docker and cloud infrastructure.Experience with microservices.Experience processing large datasets.Experience with scraping/data collection systems.Experience integrating AI/LLM services.Experience in FoodTech, marketplaces, aggregators, or price-comparison platforms.What We’re Looking ForWe want a backend engineer who thinks beyond individual tickets.
