Key Responsibilities Expert Web Application Development Design, build, and maintain web-based features within the Aderant Expert product suite, following established architecture and coding standards. Develop and maintain front-end components (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks) alongside server-side C#/.NET logic and APIs. Work with existing Expert data and services (including integration points with SQL Server-backed systems) to build reliable, performant features. Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate actively in code reviews. Troubleshoot and resolve defects raised through QA, support escalations, or production monitoring, with clear root-cause analysis. Office 365 Integration Delivery Build and support integrations between Aderant Expert and Microsoft 365 services, primarily Outlook and Teams, using the Microsoft Graph API. Implement authentication and authorization flows for Microsoft 365 integrations (OAuth 2.0 / Microsoft Entra ID / SSO patterns). Develop and maintain Outlook and/or Teams add-ins or connected experiences that surface Expert data and workflows inside Microsoft 365. Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to ensure integrations are secure, scalable, and aligned with Microsoft's evolving platform requirements and deprecation timelines. Document integration design decisions and configuration steps for support and future maintainability. Collaboration & Delivery Practices Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to sprint commitments. Work with QA to define test scenarios and support automated and manual testing of new features. Partner with product management and support teams to translate requirements and client feedback into working software. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release processes, ensuring changes are deployed safely and reliably. Required Qualifications 2–4 years of professional software development experience, including web application development. Solid proficiency in C# and the .NET framework/.NET Core. Working experience with front-end web technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (e.g., React, Angular, or similar). Practical experience with, or strong working knowledge of, RESTful API design and consumption. Exposure to Microsoft 365 / Office 365 integration work β€” e.g., Microsoft Graph API, Outlook or Teams add-in development, or SharePoint integrations. Understanding of authentication/authorization concepts relevant to Microsoft 365 (OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, SSO). Working knowledge of SQL Server, including writing and troubleshooting queries and stored procedures. Familiarity with source control (Git or TFS/Azure DevOps) and collaborative development workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through ambiguous requirements. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical work for non-developer audiences.
