About the Role We're hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to build and operate the cloud platform that our financial products run on. You'll design, automate, and maintain infrastructure on AWS, keep our systems reliable and cost-efficient as we scale, and give our engineers a platform that's fast and safe to ship on. Workplace Type: On-site (Palo Alto, CA) What You'll Do Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS across compute, storage, database, and networking servicesCodify environments and operational tasks with infrastructure as code so that every change is repeatable, reviewable, and safe to roll backConfigure and maintain cloud networking, including VPCs and virtual networks, subnets, load balancers, DNS, and VPN connectivity between environmentsBuild and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, making releases faster and lower-risk for application teamsOwn observability across the platform: monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards that surface problems before customers notice themTune capacity, scaling, and performance so core financial services meet their availability and latency targetsSupport database operations, including backups, replication, failover, and performance tuningTroubleshoot and resolve production issues, including on-call rotation participation, and lead root-cause analysis afterwardTrack and optimize cloud spend, right-sizing resources without sacrificing reliabilityMaintain architecture documentation, environment inventories, and operational runbooksCollaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers, QA, and product managers What We're Looking For 3+ years of professional experience running cloud infrastructure in production, with prior experience in the financial industry (banking, payments, trading, lending, or fintech)Strong hands-on expertise with either AWS or Azure and their core compute, storage, database, and networking servicesProficiency with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automationSolid understanding of infrastructure fundamentals: Linux, containers and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud networking, and monitoring and logging toolingUnderstanding of the reliability, auditability, and change-control expectations that apply to financial systemsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceNice to Have Exposure to regulatory or compliance frameworks specific to banking or financial servicesRelevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)Experience building platform tooling or self-service workflows that other engineering teams depend onFamiliarity with cloud cost management and FinOps practices at scale Why Join Arkfintech Work on systems that power real financial products at meaningful scaleCollaborative, engineering-driven culture with a high bar for craftsmanshipCompetitive compensation and benefits packageOn-site collaboration with a talented, experienced team in Palo Alto Equal Opportunity Employer Arkfintech is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
