About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WordPress Developer to join our remote-first team at SpecterOps. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web properties built on WordPress. Your expertise will be pivotal in creating custom themes and plugins, optimizing site performance, and ensuring seamless integration with third-party tools such as CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms. You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Design, and Operations teams to build engaging, responsive, and accessible web pages that align with our strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in front-end and back-end development, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality digital experiences. Qualifications 5+ years of professional web development experience with a significant focus on WordPress development.Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including experience with modern frameworks and vanilla JavaScript.Hands-on experience building and customizing WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.Familiarity with WordPress VIP hosting environment, deployment workflows, and code standards.Experience working with page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar tools.Knowledge of integrating platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, or similar.Understanding of web performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO best practices.Strong grasp of WordPress security best practices and site hardening techniques.Experience with Git-based version control workflows.Excellent written communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain WordPress-based websites, including custom themes and plugins to meet project requirements.Build and update landing pages, campaign pages, and various site sections in collaboration with Marketing and Design teams.Implement responsive, accessible, and cross-browser-compatible front-end code utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Optimize website performance by improving page speed, adhering to Core Web Vitals, and applying SEO best practices.Manage WordPress configurations, perform plugin updates, and implement security hardening measures to ensure site integrity.Integrate third-party tools and APIs, including CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools.Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and back-end issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain website reliability.Maintain clean, well-documented code following established development standards and best practices.Support quality assurance and testing processes to deliver high-quality, stable releases.Collaborate asynchronously with a remote team across various departments, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
